Second trip to Melbourne and I loved it even more! Ii was staying at the "nunnery" with Elise. It's an old convent that was eventually turned into a quite original hostel. Paintings of saints, serious and comic ones, a house cat, very clean rooms and bathrooms and a roof-ladder with quite a view made this place very comfortable to stay at. I can only recommend it! Elise turned out to be extremely gifted in finding great hidden places for dinner, shopping and chilling ;o). The area we were staying at, Fitzroy, reminded me very much of the Village in NYC and we cruised up and down the streets in our mission to find the most funny and spaced out places. What I really enjoy in Melbourne are the trams since I have never been a fan of busses! Makes me feel almost like at home ;o)... We were very lucky with the weather and apart of enjoying the view from the rialto towers we cruised the river on a boat, Elise went to a museum (no, I didn't!) and I got to see much more of this city. The surroundings are not comparable to Sydney, where you have around 30 beaches in closest proximity... That's definitely a thing I will miss a lot but luckily, domestic flights are quite cheap and Sydney very close. I finally had my interview at JMC and am now going through all that f*"*çç paperwork so I can start my studies in March! yippie!!Sonntag, 9. Dezember 2007
